" Bridget is a brilliant tutor and we're just going to keep inviting her back as her style of teaching suits our audience perfectly. She allows people space to make their own discoveries, but is always on hand with technical know-how, a reflection or well timed question.

The pace of the workshop is just right, offering demonstrations when needed to keep pace with the group and suggesting the next technique to keep inspiration flowing. Bridget is always positive and encouraging with learners, inspiring them to keep weaving after the workshop has finished. "

Tapestry Taster Class

This class is for anyone who would like to pick up a bobbin and try tapestry weaving. It’s the perfect session if you have always wanted to have a go - no experience necessary.

Learn how to weave, prepare threads, change colours and try a shape. At the end of the class you can take home your own small tapestry!

This will be a small group of adult beginners, which should be lots of fun as we experiment with shapes and techniques.

Tapestry Samples

Beginners & Improvers Class

This class is for complete beginners, those who would like to learn more after a taster class, as well as a refresher for those returning to weaving.

Start by setting up a tapestry frame, get to grips with plain weave, try geometric shapes, practice blending and learn tips and tricks to improve your weaving.

This is usually a small group of adult beginners and improvers.

One to One

Whether you’re a beginner wanting to try something new, or an intermediate weaver looking to improve your technique or solve weaving issues, a ‘one-to-one’ session would be for you. Or ‘one-to-two’ for you and a friend!

These sessions could include setting up a frame, weaving shapes and colour blending to hatching, cartoons, 3D techniques or problem solving, depending on experience.

The content would be tailor-made for you.
