About me….

I am a weaver specialising in hand woven tapestry, based in London, UK.

Stories have always been important to me. From those that we see develop around us, or that come to us through the words of others, to the narratives that form in our own thoughts.

I have worked in book publishing for several years and enjoy passing on stories to readers. Through my travels for work, I have been privileged to meet many generous individuals who introduced me to different worlds and cultures. All of these encounters and experiences have added layers to my personal story.

While visiting an open studio exhibition of contemporary tapestry weaving, my eyes were opened to a different way of communicating these stories. I attended courses at Morley College and West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, where I completed the course, Developing Skills and Creative Language in Tapestry Weaving .

Influenced by the forms of late modernism, my work is a reinterpretation of the world around me. It’s a response to the seemingly mundane, that familiar place, a recognisable view, an everyday occurrence. Seen through a different lens, these hidden gems that we often brush past, or hold in our mind for a fleeting moment, are transformed and given a new sense of life.

Since winning the Cordis Prize Showcase for Emerging Artists, I have exhibited work in the UK and Australia. I’m a Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and in 2024 was selected for the Find A Maker directory.
